Tyrande Whisperwind is a prominent character in the Warcraft universe, primarily featured in Blizzard Entertainment's games. She is the chosen High Priestess of Elune, the moon goddess of the night elves, and a powerful warrior and leader. Her lifespan spans millennia, closely intertwined with the history of Azeroth.

Born before the Sundering, Tyrande witnessed the rise and fall of the ancient kaldorei empire. She chose to dedicate herself to Elune over the path of a warrior, unlike her childhood friends Malfurion Stormrage and Illidan Stormrage. However, when the Burning Legion invaded, she was forced to embrace her martial prowess.

Alongside Malfurion, with whom she shares a deep romantic bond, she fought against the Legion and has continued to defend Azeroth against numerous threats throughout the Warcraft saga. Her unwavering faith in Elune and fierce protectiveness of her people have made her a pivotal figure in the night elf society and a key player in the ongoing struggles for the planet's survival.
